What can you do if your pet vanishes?

1. First, and above all,

• Seek carefully the home immediates neighbourghoods, in case he got an accident or poisoning.

How to reduce risks?

Possible accidental causes are numerous, think about:

• The fear of uncommon noises (firecrakers, fireworks) may panic them up to reach out of their known territory ;
• A bad encounter with other pets pushing him to flee away from his borders ;
• A non wanted clandestine boarding in a vehicle which went away ;
• A bound in a rarely visited place, like :
  • cupboard (inside or outside),
  • cable shafts in buildings,
  • garbage chutes,
  • sheds,
  • houses to rent, unoccupied houses,
  • phone dispatch sheds,
  • under roofs areas,
  • warehouse boxes,
  • containers,
  • etc...
• An escape after a move,
• A road accident,
• An attack by a human (gun shot, bat wounds, ...),
• A drowning in a swimming pool, an opened tank, a temporarily used pipe, ...
• A fall from a building or a cliff (behind a low wall)
• etc...
