Fenua Animalia is a No-Profit 1901 association trying to shield an enormous fail.
It is neither an administration, nor a state-controlled service,
thus we own neither these powers, nor these means.
 
In French Polynesia today, there is no structure to help animals,
no shelter, no free clinic, NOTHING, just a pound in Papeete.

Presentation

Our association was born on 1996, from good-willings without grants. It is still young and not strong enough to assume the settlement of any built structure.

The main service that we arrive to provide is this hot line to help Pets, and those having concerns with.

At start we didn't have any idea of the constraints which involve with this keeping, and we ingenuously provided a 24/24 service. Polynesia beeing very thirsty of Pets help, we understood quickly that the hot line survival was closely linked to the one of those which take turns to answer, and, thus, we established duty hours.

At the 423 423 (phone / fax / answering machine) converge calls of any kind, most probably quite similars to those that may receive Firemen, Police, Hospitals, hotels and taxis.

We are nothing like that, however, the calls we receive show that our image is very close.


Anonymous accusations calls are unacceptable, and useless.
We live in a legitimate state supposed inhabited by adults:
If you are witness of facts which are inadmissible for you,
  • assume your outrage to the end by complaining formally, in which case the association may help and support you (a complain from us is weaker than one from an individual),
  • otherwise remain with your head in the sand, and assume you frustration without making us loosing our time at the cost of the others.

Offered services

A lot, but not everything:

Do not wait for the last moment!
It is always difficult to separate from a Pet
but it must be done regarding him.
If you must leave and if you can't really keep him along with you, know that:
  1. There isNO true shelter here.
  2. An animal is never adopted "in a snap", overnight.
  3. It is even more difficult if he is adult.
By not taking care of that, your Pet have great chances
to be euthanasied, or - worse - abandonned;,
