Context

The majority of stories which comes through questions to the 423 shows well that it happens in an environment where people don't fairly know how to care their Pets.

It is not an astonishing thing, since nobody can know all things on a subject, even if some seems conviced of the opposite: In any domain seachers are there to show us that any knowledge evolves.

There is no shame to say that we don't know when we haven't got the ways to know.

To well care a Pet may be as easy as to drive a car. In both cases a minimum of knowledge is needed to avoid accidents, but there is neither licence, nor learning centre for caring Pets. Even so, without making black humour, relationship among both are very common.

The aim of Information Campaigns is to pass around simple messages trying to increase the interest and the respect of owners for their Pets, to induce elementary action able to help everybody (how to correctly feed Pets, why, how and where to identify, treat, vaccinate, spay/neuter, why, how, to train them, etc.).

The leading action being to reduce animal sufferings, overpopulation and its nuisances and to help to have happy, well trained, well feeded Pets having owners aware of all their responsibilities and doted with all means to assume it.

None have ever seen such campaigns in Polynesia.

Basic knowledges are acquired 'on-the-job', because even if some teachers make laudable efforts this way, most of pupils have forgotten the main when they are old enough to make themselves their own businesses.

Pets are very touch, torture that they endure sometimes - and too often - take long to kill them, and more, too many owners have become used to see them dying young. Polynesian Pets Life Expectancy is not know as it don't exists - would you believe - any statistics on them, but peole is often surprised to learn that a dog or a cat live , normally, more than 5 years...

This phenomenon don't concern only dogs and cats, even among animals called "farm animals" for whose we have been able to register rare horrors.

Campaigns

To organise debates, Information, Education and Learning Campaigns is also a task which would implicate the most possible the actors: Municipalities (shools, town halls, police, firemen, cleaning dept ...), Government (Health Ministry, Education Ministry, Agriculture and Breeding Ministry, ...), Specialists (veterinarians, trainers, ...), Associations (of Animal Protection, of Child Protection, ...)

Of course, there is also to involve medias and to organise the whole.

Consequencies

Information Campaigns would have several positive effects:
